Well, I am caught up in another whirlwind of emotion. (as always) I wrote another poem and I really like this one for some reason even though it isn’t my best. It’s snowing right now, but it isn’t sticking or anything. I hope we have at least one more snow day before the winter ends. Valentine’s Day is coming up and I’m dreading it as usual., it is a horrid day, but its history is interesting. I really just want to curl up in a little ball and go to sleep, I am so tired! In concert choir we’re singing Lux Aterna, which is Latin I believe. It is pretty, but we haven’t gotten very far yet. Life and school are both boring as of right now, but when aren’t they? Who knows… maybe something exciting will happen to me soon!

I went to the A-J basketball game yesterday, It was a great game, even though we lost. We went into overtime twice, but it was really close. I was proud of most everyone on the team. I am applying to a lot of scholarships lately, and I’m trying to find any financial aid available. I hope I get a few, anything will help. I will soon have a bound copy of my poetry written from 2003 - 2005, and that is exciting. Perhaps 95% is really bad, but the rest is okay… I hope! I can’t wait to graduate, I am really excited about leaving A-J for good, but I will miss my friends a lot. It will be really hard not to see everyone all the time. Well, I have to get back to the rat race, and that’s all for now. Except to say that a certain someone was greatly admired by me at the basketball game, and I wish him all the best of luck, because he deserves it. He was the one I was cheering for! Another thing, I am now back in the Guidance Office, for study hall, which rocks because I don’t have to listen to malicious gossip all hour! SPLENDID!

I went to the football game today, it was sad. I'm going to blame it ALL on #7, though I won't mention any names. Besides all that fun stuff, well I wrote two new haiku poems and that’s something worth mentioning, because I haven’t written any for a long while. Other than that? YUK YUK! Um… I have a lot of homework, and I will mess with it sometime in the near future (I hope) Farewell… I smell popcorn!

Well, I went on that trip to see a play called "The Taming of the Shrew" by Shakespeare and it wasn't that bad, save for some obscene and vulgar references. I don't believe it was worth my hard-earned cash however! I added to my Xanga (thanks to EXTREME pressure from Jacob Johnson, though many of my friends feel the same way) and school is boring as usual! I am going to the playoff game Saturday @ 1:30, I hope it will be interesting, I like to see a lot of action on both sides. I am hungry and I want food so yeah… later!

Well, what’s up of late? I went to the football game Friday… that was fun! Afterwards I went to 5th quarter and played a strange game, but it was fun. It had a weird name though… shuffle your buns, lol! And… school is pretty boring, except I like my creative writing glass very much. Blindside is a great band, I really enjoy their music. I have written a lot of poetry lately, for class and otherwise… I have reached passed the 130 mark, that’s kinda impressive I think! I need to get my senior pictures taken sometime soon, but I won’t worry about that now. Yeah, that’s about it… my life. I could say a bit more I guess, but I won’t, lol. ^_^ (hee hee) TTFN!

I won 25 dollars for placing second in a contest that we were required to enter for creative writing! It was exciting to win, I also got an honorable mention as well! Jacob won 50 dollars for 1st place! Tomorrow is Senior Day at Shawnee College, I hope it won't be too utterly boring! I'm so glad that there will be a four day weekend I needed a break, lol! Saturday I have to go to the Library (at 3:30) to get my money, certificate, and my picture taken for the paper or something. Not looking forward to the picture very much... I have to run the mile in P.E. soon, I doubt that I can run it in 6:32 like last year, probably not if I had my guess. Anyway that's about all that's gone on im my life, not very exciting but who knows...

My creative writing class is going well, and it's a lot of fun. There's an A-J football game this Friday and I have to sing the Banner w/ Concert Choir. In English we're reading Beowulf and I absolutely love that poem! It's awesome with a lot of detail and description. Um, not much new stuff besides some poems, and my love life is zilch, but I like it that way. I want to watch some NFL, I am so sick of baseball... I never really liked it that much anyway. Allpoetry is having a gold membership thing that gave me a chance to update my page. I applied to C of O for an application (imagine that!) Maybe I will get in, if not it's SCC and then a transfer.

*groan* Another year and seems to me just hopelessly boring, yet again the same old thing. I went for an hour today, got my yearbook for the last school year. I might go to the horse races today, could happen if it isn't too hot. We're getting a new computer, that's good news I guess. It's going to be a lot faster this is old, broken down piece of junk. Semester exam exemption policy really sucks this semester. For seniors.. miss 1 and only 1 day and one must take all semesters. How horrible. (I'm supremely glad I'm not a freshman at this time. Ha ha, I laugh at their demise. Ok, ok I actually feel a little sorry for them, but they'll get over it. This internet journalizing stuff is not so bad actually, but still I'd rather not put any deep personal secrets on here. One never knows who might be watching... O__o Then again if i did say I liked.. oops almost slipped up there, ha ha. Well, anyway still up on the poetry. I've been pretty sad lately for several reasons, but I'll get over it... eventually. I am strong and I can overcome. Did I mention that Psalms 91 is my favorite passage of scripture. Yeah, that's about it for now...

Well, school starts the 26th. Summer went really fast, but that is probably because I took those classes at the SCC extension center. I have these classes (in order) Creative Writing, Adv. English IV, Concert Choir, SH, Resource Management, Spanish IV, and P.E. I believe this year is going to be the easiest yet. I have never had so many easy classes. I am going to have fun my senior year. I must admit that I've been something of a stick in the mud for a while, lol. Maybe I should be a hermit? Haha. The Union County Fair srarts soon, all I'm really looking forward to is the food, horse races, and maybe the demolition derby. Why anyone in their mind would want to be in a Queen pageant is beyond me, of course I know some people enjoy dressing up and parading around in front of hundreds of people, but no way for me! I've been running every day, and exercising too, but I wish I had someone to work with. It gets pretty boring running around by myself. I can always run faster and for longer periods of time when someone is with me. I have written a few poems lately, but nothing spectacular. On allpoetry.com, I have exceeded the 100 mark, that's pretty awesome If I do say so myself! I was wondering how to go about expression affection for someone. I've had terrible luck in the past, but that's all over now. I believe I'll just remain single for a while, it all seems so pointless anyway. Besides I have good friends that keep me occupied. Well, I have done a lot this summer, but I still managed to read the entire Harry Potter series within a week, which was an incredible feat. (One book or more per day) Plus many other novels as well. I think I've read the entire library's mystery section. Haha, I need to cut down.

Peppermint Lifesavers and coffee were the scents I remember most when I
was around my grandpa. He always had a handful of individually- wrapped
Lifesavers in his pocket available to small fingers. I could always smell the
mixed fragrance of peppermint and coffee when I hugged him. His silky hair
was pure white with just a touch of gray around the nape of his neck. He was
cuddly and lovable like a big teddy bear, and he always had a smile on his
face. Papa could always turn a tense situation into a joke with his assiduous
sense of humor. When I had a special treat as a child, he’d whistle through
his teeth and say “where’s mine?”.
He was loving, kind, and generous with a positive outlook on life, and
his happy countenance brought joy to all those who knew him. His spoke in a
soft voice, with a low pitch, yet he never spoke a harsh or negative word.
He couldn’t stay upset for long because his genuine integrity wouldn’t let
him. Papa was handsome, and of medium height and build. He was slightly
round, but that made him all the more lovable. He loved to wear colorful
polo shirts and khakis along with soft, warm house slippers when he was at
home. There was a certain characteristic shuffle about him when he walked,
but he always got to where he was going.
His manner was quiet and calm, and he was full of sensible wisdom
and engaging stories. Grandpa always had a tale to tell, in his excited voice,
as he relived the past. I would watch his green eyes sparkle as he grinned
crookedly and told about the many adventures he’d had.
Every Fourth of July, Grandpa savored every bite of food, and he
always had an enormous and ready appetite. His plate was clean when it was
over, because Papa was never wasteful. He loved the fancy parades, the
delicious candy, and most of all the booming fireworks. More then anything,
he adored his family, he had a loving nature, and he took great pride in the
accomplishments of his relations. His pride for his country was apparent,
anyone could see that he was proud of what he held dear. Papa’s big heart
held so much unconditional love, hope and faith. He was, and will forever
remain my hero.
